Jorge Oviedo is an agronomist with a Master's degree in Integrated Natural Resource Management, specializing in Environmental Economics and Sociology, from the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE). He has chaired the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Environmental Funds (RedLAC) and has extensive experience in strategic agricultural, environmental, and regional development management.

He is currently the Executive Director of the Environmental Investment Fund of El Salvador (FIAES).
